Real users are a great source of interesting tips and ideas. Here are some tips to help you get the most out of Knowledge Adventure Books by You™.

From Brenna C., a 2nd grader from California:

I like to use my friends and family as characters in the book, and you can even take pictures of them to put in the story.

From Kate M., a 4th grader from California:

First of all, you can make your story much more interesting if you think creatively about your answers. Don’t go on and on about one question. You have a lot of questions to answer. So try to have fun with your answers and sometimes be silly with your answers. It will make your story more interesting.

After you finish a chapter and if you decide you want to change something you wrote, you can just click on the word or words and change your words.

I hope other kids have as much fun with this game as I did. It’s a real blast!

Creating your book

Add real photos to your book. Use a disposable or digital camera to take pictures of people and things around you that fit your vision of the story. Put yourself and your friends and family in the main roles, and with your direction and costume design, you'll have a story that could only be yours.

Remember — You don’t have to finish the book in a single session. If you need to leave for a bit, go ahead... when you come back in, the program will bring you back right where you left off.

Printing at home

If your printer supports it, try printing two-to-a-side…it makes for a smaller book and uses less paper.

Some printers allow for "booklet printing", which can help put your pages in the right size and format.
